TxGenWeb Coordinator hawkins@texoma.net ***************************************************************** Morgan Cemetery This one I intend to go find when I have the time. It is a single grave located at the dead end of Cr2630 according to a map by Ricky Kirk; But another record shows that it is on the Elbert J. Allen survey north of Honey Grove Creek near Allen's Chapel and that Elbert J. Allen wed Joshua's daughter (Jemima) two month's after his wife died. After which time Joshua left to the Calif. Gold mines and died on the way. Some of this information is from Floy Hodges books and some from DAR records. And misc. info from notes that I sloppily kept.;) one record shows Cynthia Morgan wife of W.H. 1799-1846 another shows she was the wife of Joshua Morgan and died 5 Sept.1846 age 47. It says he came to Texas in 1838 to Lamar County and this was his second wife Cynthia Bonnas In both records It is described as a large native stone well done and will "last the ages' Apparently it is located 8 Miles NE of Bonham in Floy Hodges description. which would put it way off. Guess the Land records will decide. ....the mystery continues.
