     I have received a copy of the Death Record for
     Velma (Travis) Barry from the Texas Department of Heath, Bureau of
     Vital Statisitcs. This record has the stamped Reg. Dis. No. 5177 in
     the upper right hand corner of this Form D, with a hand written
     Registered No. 7. In the botton left hand corner of this paper are
     the stamped numbers E731708.
     
     This record states the following information for Velma (Travis)

     Velma's death occured in Fannin Co, Texas near Whitewright, TX.
     It lists her full name as Mrs. Velma Barry
     This record states that she was a Female, White, & Married.
     Her Date of Birth is listed as Nov. 08, 1908 and that she was
     18yrs, 3 months, and 2 dys old at the time of her death.
     Her occupation is listed as Housewife
     Her birthplace is listed as OKLAHOMA
     Her father's nameis listed as J.M. TRAVIS. ( This is
     incorrect--Should be J.N. TRAVIS )
     The information above is signed as true by Informant of Record, as
     Chilton Barry, of Whitewright, Texas. (Who we know as Velma's
     husband)
     This record states that Velma's Date of Death was Feb. 10, 1927 and
     that Velma had been attended by C. P. Johnson M.D. since Feb. 02,
     1927 and that her death occured at 3:00 PM.
     " Cause of Death is noted as "Acute Yellow Atrophy "
     Place of burial is listed as the BURN'S Cemetery, Trenton, Texas.
     Date of burial was Feb. 12, 1927 by Undertaker, Glen Earnheart,
     Trenton, TX.
     (This record does not list her mother's maiden name or place of
     birth, but family knows that her mother was Ellen (BUTLER) TRAVIS
     who was born abt. 1875 in Grainger Co., TN. Her father Joseph N.
     Travis was born abt. 1875 in Jefferson Co., TX. they had lived in
     Fannin CO but had moved on to Wapanucka, OK. Velma's grandparents
     were David Tate Travis & Nancy Adaline (Pierce) TRAVIS of Jefferson
     Co. and Calvin M. Butler & Ellen Virginia(Roland)BUTLER of Grainger
     Co., TN.>Fannin Co., TX.)
