July 14, 1952 SERVICES FOR JAMES PAXTON CORDER, 16 HELD AT RAVENNA James Paxtin Corder, 16, died Jul 13, 1952. James was born November 17, 1936 in Ravenna and was member of the Owenwood Methodist Church in Dallas. He attended J.F. Long Junior High School of Dallas. He is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. C.P. Corder of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. Vernon Price, Dallas; one nephew, Gary Wesley Price; grandmothers, Mrs. Minnie Cockrill of Ravenna, Mrs. Katherine Corder of Dallas; one aunt, two uncles, and a number of other relatives. Pallbearers were to be Dan Garner, Clyde Hodges, Weldon Doggett, Raymond Perry, Marvin Garrison and C.A. Henley. Funeral services were set for 4:00 this afternoon at the Ravenna Methodist Church. Note: James' grandmother, Katherine Corder was the former Katherine Finley, sister of George W. "Dick" Finley. (The Corder name was misspelled as Carder in paper).
