Don Teague officating. Internment followed in the Four Mile Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank. Mr. Finley was born Feb. 4, 1923, in Ravenna to George and Martha (Walker) Finley and died March 24, 1992 in Terrell hospital after a lengthy illness. A former resident of Duncanville, he had lived in Mabank for seven years. Mr. Finley retired in 1980 after 31 years with Brown's Express in Dallas and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific with the 169th 1st Calvery Division. He was a member of the Baptist church, the Teamesters Local #745, Dallas, and the VFW Post #4376 in Seven Points. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Ruth (Conway) Finley of Mabank; son, Billy Joe Finley of Mabank; daughter and son-in-law, Patsy Ruth and Bob Vinson of Mabank; four brothers, Roy Finley of Lancaster, Frank Finley of Paris, George Finley of Irving, Raymond Finley of Farmers Branch, sister, Daisy D. Ball of Bonham, five grandchildren, Nikki and Jodie Finley of Athens, Suzie and Jason Vinson of Mabank, and Pvt. Eddie Vinson of Ft. Lewis, Tacoma, Washington. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and John Wesley Finley. Pallbearers were Roger Ball, Loyd Horton, Wayne Finley, Gary Horton, Danny Perry, Danny Ray Cagle, and Larry Titsworth. (Willie's parents are buried at the IOOF Cemetery at Ravenna.)
