FINLEY DIES THURSDAY NEAR BONHAM Funeral services for George Washington Finley, 59, a native of Grayson county, will be held at the Ravenna Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. R. L. Cates, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows cemetery, Mokel-Brown in charge. Mr. Finley was born Aug 27, 1885 in Grayson County but moved to this area in his youth and had resided here most of his life. Survivors are his wife (Martha J. Walker); six sons, John Finley, Savoy; Raymond and Roy Finley, Dallas; George and Willie Finley, USA, Southwest Pacific; Frank Finley, USA, Camp Hood; one daughter, Mrs Daisy Ball; two brothers, Tom Finley, Ector; Arthur Finley, Ravenna; three sisters, Mrs.Kate Corder, Dallas; Mrs Lida Beaty, Randolph, Mrs. Flora Hubbard, Coleman and 12 grandchildren. Note: George W. was the son of George Washington Finley I and Virginia E. "Jenny" Spence Finley. They are also buried at the Odd Fellows (IOOF) Cemetery.
