FINLEY DEAD AFTER LONG CAREER OF SERVICE Former County Judge Thomas Glendell Finley died Sunday evening in Encino, California. Born in Ravenna, the son of Oscar Thomas and Mary Ollie Draper Finley, he was a graduate of Bonham High School and attended East Texas State University. He and his wife, the former Juanita Thomas, were in the insurance business in Bonham. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. After serving as County Judge, he was Fannin County Auditor. He later worked with the Veterans Administration in Lubbock and then took a position with the Internal Revenue Service in California. Mr. Finley was a member of the First Christian Church and the Elk's lodge in Encino. He is survived by his widow, Juanita; and one brother, Thad E. Finley of Bonham. Other survivors are Thad R. Finley of Kerrville and Beth Maurer of Iraan, Tex. Note: T.G. was the grandson of William Thomas and Margaret Ballew Finley. William Thomas and George Washington Finley I were brothers.
