MEIER by consent of my wife of the said State and County for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by LOUIS HILLMANN the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have this day granted bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said LOUIS HILLMANN a certain tract or parcel of land situated in Fayette County on the North East side of the Colorado River about fourteen miles below LaGrange and is a part of a League of alnd granted to LUCY KERR by the Mexican government, said tract or parcel of land is bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at the East Corner of 75 acres Survey for HENRY COOK a stake from which a Black Jack 10 inches in diameter Marked C bears S 43 W 1 varas, Thence N 43 E 80 varas the South West corner of a survey of 200 acres made for JOHN H. MEIER a stake from which a Post Oak 20 inches in diameter Marked H bears N 73 W 13 varas a Black Jack 12 inches in diameter marked J bears S 8 W 5 1/2 varas, Thence N 47 W along said MEIERS line 1673 varas the West Corner of said MEIER 200 acres Survey a stake from which a Post Oak 20 inches in diameter Marked M bears S 25 E 16 varas a Black Jack 9 inches in diameter Marked H bears N 26 E 7 varas, Thence S 43 W 500 varas a stake from which a Post Oak 15 inches in diameter marked M bears N 43 E 6 1/2 varas, Thence S 47 E 1022 varas a stake set in the North West boundary line of Said COOKS survey from which a Post Oak 12 inches in diameter Marked M bears S 75 E 9 varas, Thence S 47 E 421 varas the North corner of said COOKS Survey, Thence S 47 E 650 varas to the place of beginning containing one hundred acres more or less, To have and to hold said tract of land together with all the improvements thereunto belonging unto him the said LOUIS HILLMANN, his heirs administrators and assigns forever, and I and My wife do bind our selves to warrant and will forever defend the title to the foregoing described tract of land unto the same LOUIS HILLMANN his heirs or assigns against all adverse claims whatever . MEIER being by me examined separate and apart from her husband, and having said deed fully explained to her declared that she had freely and willingly and of her own accord signed and sealed the same for the considerations and purposes therein stated and that she wished not to retract it.
