HUDSON dec'd late of the County and State first aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by CHARLES HILLMANN of the County of Fayette and State of Texas the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto said CHARLES HILLMANN. Two certain tracts or parcels of land situated and described as follows to wit: In Fayette County on the waters of the Colorado River about thirteen miles East of the Town of La Grange, and is a part of a league of land granted to WILLIAM O. BURNHAM by the Mexican Government. One of which said tracts of land is Known as Survey No. 4 made by Z.M. P. FRENCH County Surveyor of Fayette County on the 24th January 1850. Beginning at a stake in a stone mound set for the North Corner of Survey No.5 of 500 acres of alnd made for JACOB F. DIRR on a high hill in the prairie. Thence N 43 degrees E 750 varas to a cedar stake for the North Corner of this survey and the West Corner of Survey No 3. Thence S. 47 degrees E 942 varas to a stake on the Northwest boundary line of 3/4 of land granted to J.M. BURTON. Thence S 43 degrees West 750 varas to a stake in a stone mound set for the East corner of Survey No 5 made for JACOB F. DIRR the same being the South Corner of this survey. Thence N 47 degrees W 960 varas to the place of beginning. Containing one hundred and twenty six acres of land _ more or less. The other tract is known as Survey No 10 made at the same time for the former Survey. Beginning at a stake set in the Southwest boundary line of Three fourths of a league of land granted to J.M. BURTON for the North Corner of this Survey and the East corner of Survey No 9 from which a post oak 10 inches in diameter Marked I bears S 58 degrees East 4 3/4 varas a do 15 inches in diameter marked S bears S 40 1/2 W 16 3/4 varas distant. Thence S 47 degrees E 950 varas to a stake for the East Corner of this Survey from which a post oak 14 inches in diameter marked R bears N 86 1/2 W 11 1/4 varas. Another postoak 15 inches in diameter marked O bears N 80 degrees E 9 1/4 varas distant. Thence S 43 degrees 1000 varas to a stake for the South Corner of this survey from which a postoak 15 inches in diameter marked M bears E 6 varas distant. Thence N 47 degrees W 950 varas to a stake for the West corner of this survey and the South Corner of Survey No 9 from which a postoak 15 inches in diameter marked U bears N 18 degrees E. 2 1/2 varas. Another postoak 20 inches in diameter marked W bears S 11 degrees W 18 varas distant. Thence N 43 degrees E 1000 varas to the lace of beginning. Containing one hundred and sixty eight acres be the same more or less which said two tracts or parcels of land is part of a half league of land purchased by said JAMES P. HUDSON of WILLIAM O. BURHAM as appears from the records of said County of Fayette. To have and to hold said two tracts of land to him said HILLMANN his heirs and assigns forever. And I the said WILLIAM HUDSON do by these presents bind myself my heirs executors and administrators warrant and forever defend the title to the above described land to him the said CHARLES HILLMANN his heirs and assigns against the lawful claim or claims of any other person or persons whosoever.
