BURHAM by the Mexican Government situated in Fayette County about twelve miles South East of the Town of LaGrange and is aprt of No. 10 of the division of said League. Beginning at the North Corner of said Survey No 10 a stake from which a Post Oak 10 inches marked T bears S. 58 degrees E. 2 1/2 varas and a Do 15 inches marked S bears S. 40 1/2 degrees W 16 3/4 varas. Thence S. 47 degrees E 310 varas a stake from which a Post Oak 20 inches diameter marked V bears S. 47 degrees E 1 1/4 varas and a Hickory 5 inches marked X bears S 63 1/2 degrees W 6 varas. Thence S 43 degrees W 729 varas a stake a Do 8 inches marked E bears S 55 degrees W 1 3/4 varas. Thence N 47 degrees W 310 varas a stake set in the Northwest boundary line of No. 10 from which a Post Oak 10 inches marked X bears S 64 degrees W 1 varas a Do 10 inches marked X bears S 68 degrees E 1 varas. Thence N 43 degrees E 729 varas to the place of beginning. To have and to hold said forty acres of land together with the hereaitaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging to said JOHN ELLERBUSH his heirs and assigns forever hereby warranting and forever defending the title to the same to him his heirs executors and administrators.
