Alexander hereby makes his application for a Pension under the Act of the Legislature of the State of Texas approved August 13th, 1870, entitled “An Act Granting Pensions to the Surviving Veterans of the revolution which Separated Texas from Mexico” John R. Alexander Dated Austin City December 30th, 1870 The State of Texas Travis County James T. Peacock being duly sworn on this oath says, that he is well acquainted with the applicant John R. Alexander. That he entered the Texan Army sometime in the fall of the year 1842 in the Mier expedition and that he was taken prisoner 25th day of December 1842 and that deponent was a prisoner at the same time with the applicant and that he is about fifty two or three years of age.
