The State of Texas,
County of Fayette.
To any regularly Ordained Minister of the Gospel, Judge of the District court, 
Justice of the County Court, or Justice of the Peace for said County to whom 
this License shall be Presented Greeting: You are hereby authorized to 
celebrate the Rites of Matrimony between J.L. Groce and Mrs. Amand (sic) 
Alford. Both of said County and a return of the same make to the Office of the 
Clerk of the County Court of said County within sixty days with you. 
Certificate hereon endorsed as the Law directs.
               Given under my hand and Seal of Office at office in the
L.S.           Town of LaGrange the 19th day of December A.D. 1868.
