Summerlin Rites Set at Roby Today

ROBY, Jan. 19

Funeral for Mrs. William E. Summerlin, 78, long time Fisher county resident
will be held at the Roby Baptist church Thursday.

Mrs. Summerlin died Wednesday at the Callan Hospital in Rotan.  She had been 
ill for the past three months.

She had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. R.L. Wilkins and Sheriff Wilkins
in Roby.

Mattie Littleberry was born 2 March 1866 in Lavaca County. She was married
in 1888 and moved to Fisher co unty in 1900.

Mr. Summerlin died in 1940.

Survivors: 7 children - Mrs. Wilkins and Ellis Summerlin of Roby, A.H. and A.D.
of Rotan, Mrs. Minnie McElrey of Los Angeles, C.E. Summerlin of Amarillo, 
Mrs. B.D. Smith of Hermleigh.

Rev. D.G. Reed, Baptist pastor of Abilene assisted by Rev. O.H. Garner of Roby,
pastor will officiate.

Burial in the Roby cemetery under the direction of O.D. Weatherbee Funeral Home.
