Gloria B. Mayfield, LadyTexian@tcainternet.com  TX Tombstone Project Manager ************************************************************************ Orchard Cemetery,Orchard ,Fort Bend County, Texas Submitted by Janet Barrett Walker Orchard Cemetery is located on Hwy 36 north between Rosenberg, Texas and Wallis,Texas. There is a state sign on Hwy 36 pointing to the cemetery. It is a well kept cemetery that was established in 1891. There are several markers that were from funeral homes set into concrete and the name scratched into the concrete. Also there are massive very beautiful headstones with marble slabs that cover the whole grave. I have put the cemetery into 4 sections starting from the north going from left to right in rows. If you compare who is buried at the beginning and end of the rows you can better tell who is buried together. Most names in common are buried together. 279 graves.
