C. Choat Published in The Hopkins Co. Echo, April 16, 1920 - Part of paper Missing Last Saturday morning Mr. C. C. Choat, who was making his home with his daughter, ____ A. Laws, in Fair____, 12 miles northwest of Mt. Vernon, was found dead after searching parties had hunted for him since Thursday evening. He had gone down in the field where Mr. Laws was at work in the morning and it is supposed that he got lost and when night came on was exhausted and being very frail succumbed to the cold. Mr. Choat was one of the oldest citizens in Franklin Co, and left several grown children and a number of grandchildren . (Rest missing)
