Vernon Optic Herald 28 Jul 1933 Mrs. A.V. Seay, 44-year-old woman, and leading citizen of the Rock Hill Community, died in her home, Tuesday afternoon at 5:00. She had been bothered with a weak heart for several years but had only been seriously sick three days; consequently, her untimely death was a shock to many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at Providence, Wednesday afternoon, with her pastor, Rev. McDowell in charge. Frankie Sade Long was born near Mt. Vernon, January 14, 1889, the daughter of S.M. and Laura Long. She became a member of the Baptist Church at Center Ridge in 1912 and was a prominent and conscientious worker in the Sunday school and other church activities for many years. Surviving are her husband and three children, Edward, Frances and Margaret; also, the following brothers and sisters; N.H. Long, Sam Long, Bob Long, Dan Long, Mrs. D.S. Dawson, Mrs. C.F. Wall, all of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Sam Pullen of Slaton.
