     Archibald Neil Gunter

  Archibald Neil Gunter, born March 12, 1858 in Shelby County, Texas, the son of 
Claiborne Cooper Gunter and his wife Nancy (Moore).  Alice Josephine "Josie" Gibbons 
was born July 11, 1867 at Douglass, Nacogdoches County, TX. and married on October 
5, 1885 in Freestone County to Archibald Neil Gunter.
  They were the parents of seven children: George, born about 1886, and died young; 
Howard Franklin b 30 January 1888 in F.C. d 5 July 1960 at Houston, TX; Lela Mae 
b 20 May 1890 in TX d 28 August 1986 in Fairfield, TX.; Lillie Evelyn
b 19 March 1892 in F. C. d 28 August 1982 at Fairfield, TX.; a child born about 
1895, and died before the 1900 census; Grace Edelle b 11 July 1898 in F.C. d 
20 April 1967 at Fairfield, TX.; and Brady Campbell b 13 August 1901 in F.C. and 
d 24 August 1976 in Dallas, TX. Archibald Gunter died September 1, 1937, and Josie 
died September 1, 1946 at Corsicana, Texas. Both are buried in the Lake Chapel 
Cemetery in Freestone County.
   Archibald appears in 1860 Shelby Co., TX census and 1870, 1900, 1910, 1920, 
and 1930 F.C. censuses.
