Freestone County, Texas Biographies Isaac Malone (26 September 1814 – 23 April 1879) Thomas Malone III (1806–9 June 1890) Thomas and his brother, Isaac, came to Freestone Co., TX as pioneers (when it was Limestone Co., TX). Both appear in the earliest 1851 tax list for Freestone Co., TX. and continue appearing until 1859 for Thomas and 1863 for Isaac. Thomas is the first to leave for Hico, Hamilton Co., Texas area in early 1860 where he shows up in the 1860 Hamilton Co., Texas census. Issac is still in Freestone County until late 1863. Both appear on tax assessments and jury lists in Freestone County during their time in Freestone County. Both owned about 400 acres each on Browns creek and lived out in the countryside. Thomas was married to Susan A. Noland, while Isaac was married to Pretia Nix. A number of Thomas' and Isaac's children found their spouse in Freestone County and married there. Isaac married Eliza Jane on 1 Apr 1875 in Hamilton Co., TX. after Pretia died 29 Dec 1874. Both brothers had ten children that was a mix of boys and girls. Both Issac and Thomas appear in the 1855 Freestone County, Texas scholastic census with their children.
