                              Woodard L. Ace "Wood" Noland

                              Susan S. "Sarah" Harrison
                         (7 January 1842 - 4 March 1933)
                              
  Woodard was the son of Henry Harrison and Sarah Ann (Applewhite) Noland. Sarah
was the daughter of George Washington and Elizabeth (Willingham) Harrison.  Woodard
and Sarah married on 23 Nov 1865 in Freestone Co., TX. after the close of the 
American Civil War. Woodard and Sarah appear on the 1870 census as hotel keepers
for a hotel in Fairfield, TX.       
  "Wood" Noland finds himself on the jury list in 1865.  Wood registers to vote 
on Aug 23, 1867 where he reports that he has resided in Freestone County for 16 
years. 1868 jury listing enumerates Wood Noland.  
   In 1900, Wood Noland is in Anderson County, Texas where he is later buried.
