Location: This cemetery is near the Plum Creek community across the road from Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church. Directions #1: From Hwy 75, take farm road 489 East and go about 9 miles and it is on the right. Directions #2: From Hwy 84 take 489 West and go 6.7 miles and it is on the left. Background: Brown Chapel Church began as a log cabin school/church building on John L. Johnson's land about a mile from the present site. Gabe Brown donated the present site of the cemetery and church land. This cemetery has been used by both Anglos and African Americans. Estimated 400 graves. No burial records kept until 1959.
