Kelley Slave Cemetery

Status:  Inactive since 1890s.

Background:  Resting place of slaves of the old Blackman Plantation.
 The Kelly Slave Cemetery is no longer.  Plettenburg Bay homes cover it. Verna 
 Bonner took photos of the only markers there and donated them to the Navarro 
 County Genealogical Society photo files. 

Directions: Was located just a few miles east of the old Pleasant Hall Baptist 
  Church north of Winkler that is also lost to history. Now Plattenburg Bay 
  homes covers the area of the old slave cemetery. Kelley cemetery must have 
  been on the county line or actually over in Navarro County. Was located north 
  of Winkler in Navarro County.

Oldest Marked Grave: Unknown
