We believe that the McDaniel and possibly Hillery Manning family came with the William Thames Streety family along with others to this area. They came from Butler County, Alabama. The community of Butler, Texas was named after Butler County, Alabama. Located within an iron fence with the name "McDaniel" on the gate. The following gravestones are set in a concrete slab all in a row beginning at the north end and running south. These gravestones were apparently set by a person that was known as the overseer of the McDaniel family." Directions: Located 4 miles N of Oakwood just south of Hwy 84.
