Freestone County, Texas Cemeteries Snead and Bean Cemetery ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Between Fairfield and Teague Directions: Was on Mary Sue Driver's land, then she sold the land. Later property owners bulldozed up despite state laws with nothing remaining. The Sneed farm is going south on 84 toward Teague and there is a dirt road to the right - there is a sign at the start of the road....that denotes W. N. Sneed lease XTO bought out Hunt so I don't know which Co. is there on the sign. ...when you turn right on the dirt road....the old Norgas place...not sure what it is now and on the right and on the left is where they cleared it off to build a hotel....think it fell through and don't know put a building there. Anyway Papa's farm is prob 4 miles (maybe) down that dirt road......the Sneed land where the cemetery sits is on Jim Sneeds property.
