[5/15/2023] Background: "Webb Chapel Cemetery (a small corner of a large Negro cemetery, located just west of the Rock Island Railroad, on or near the old Donegan place." (H of FC, Vol I, p. 90) Directions #1: Go north from Kirvin on County Road 1051 (which is Shumate Street in Kirvin). Just past the intersection with County Road 1055, it is located on the left side of the road. Directions #2: This is near the community of Kirvin. From Hwy 27, take Hwy 80 and go to Country Road #1449. Turn left on to CR 1449 and go 3.2 miles. This road starts out as Shiloh Rd and then becomes CR 1055. Turn left at the Woodland Cemetery. This road will turn into a dirt road. Follow it around until you reach the Webb Branch Cemetery. Info: [Most of the graves in this cemetery are unmarked. Texas death certificates or local area newspapers are the best source of information about the cemetery unfortunately.
