Freestone County, Texas Jury Lists Grand and Petit Jurors of 1852 [This listing will be *FCJ52* for my indexes.] Common abbreviations for sources used: *LC50* = 1850 Census for Limestone Co., Texas *FCT51* = 1851 Freestone County tax roll Traditionally the jury lists are drawn from those registered to vote, so this limits the jury pool to white males. Freestone County is created from Limestone County on Sept 6, 1850. Freestone County is organized January 6, 1851. ------------------------------------------------------------- [*1* - weird, just kinda starts off with names. The intro pages seem missing. I assume these are the jurors for the Commissioner's Court for Feburary 1852, but they could be from 1851. These could be people summoned in 1851. Numbers are mine for indexing purposes. Many people have their name listed multiple times. Once in first large list and another time in March or Fall list. For example, this happens to Micajah Bateman [7] and [133]. This is because of how few inital pioneers there were.] [Jurors for the Commissioner's Court for February 1852?] [1] N. D. Acock [Nathaniel D. Aycock - *LC50* 48/48] [2] K. M.
