"THE STATE OF TEXAS FREESTONE COUNTY Know all men by these presents: Whereas our beloved Bro. A. B. Carley expresses a desire to preach the Gospel and wishes to be Scripturally set apart, the Church being called together on Brewer Prairie, November 2, A.D. 1879, proceeded to set him apart to that work, and we recommend him to the Brethren as soung in doctrine and zealous in the cause, upright in morals, Goldly in conversation, and we commend him to God and the Word of his Grace, and would respectfully suggest that the brethren among whom he labors should see to his necessities by sustaining him.
