Freestone County, Texas Fairfield - Harmony Presbyterian Church The "Fairfield-Harmony Presbyterian Church" is a church merged from two different church congregations (one at Stewards Mill and one at Fairfield). The current church building was finished in 1935, after a storm destroyed the sanctuary several years before. The Presbyterian Church in Fairfield was organized June 4, 1852 and was made up of many of the town's leading citizens. The Stewards Mill Harmony Presbyterian Church was founded in October 1876. The one-room building was constructed the same year and most of it remains just as when it was built. On March 15, 1959, the Stewards Mill congregation voted to merge with the Fairfield church. Thereafter, it is known as the "Fairfield-Harmony Presbyterian Church".
