Freestone County, Texas Churches THE INVOLVEMENT OF THE REGULAR PRIMITIVE BAPTIST ASSOCIATION IN FREESTONE COUNTY, TEXAS "The Regular Primitive Baptist Association" was organized on October 23, 1880, after a split of the Concord Association. 1881 - Oak Grove Church of Freestone County was received by her messenger, A.L. English. 1882 - New Hope Church of Freestone County, by her messenger, W.O. Farrington, were received. 1888 - This association was hosted by Oak Grove Church in Freestone County, July 21, 22 and 23. The opening sermon was preached by Elder J.T. Seeley, who was chosen moderator, and A.L. English was clerk. Also, Hopewell Church of Freestone County joined the association in 1888. 1890 - Hopewell Church in Freestone County hosted the association on July 25, 26 and 27. The introductory sermon was preached by Elder S. Bryant. Elder T.J. Moore was moderator, and W.H.H. Edge was clerk. 1893 - New Hope Church, of Freestone County, hosted the association October 13, 14 and 15. Elder T.J. Moore preached the opening sermon; Elder H. White was moderator, and J.E. Henderson was clerk. 1899 - New Hope Church, of Freestone County, hosted the association July 14, 15 and 16. The opening sermon was preached by Elder T.J. Moore, who was also chosen moderator; F.B. Bond was clerk. 1902 - Hopewell Church, of Freestone County, hosted the association July 25, 26 and 27. The opening sermon was preached by Elder J.W. Meredith. Elder T.J. Moore was moderator, and F.B. Bond, clerk. 1903 - Hopewell Church, of Freestone County, hosted the association July 24, 25 and 26. T.J. Moore preached the opening sermon and was made moderator, F.B. Bond was clerk.
