Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Georgia I. "Pete" Hatcher Sevier Funeral services were held Friday, June 11, at Pentecostal Church of God in Christ in Ft. Worth for Georgia Irene (Pete) Hatcher Sevier, 84, who died June 4 in Ft. Worth. Supt. Pastor R.L. Taylor officiated. Interment was at Hopewell Cemetery in Fairfield. Mrs. Sevier was born April 8, 1926 in Yard, Texas to Earnest H. and Georgia Irene Williams Hatcher, Sr. She was the youngest of 10 children. She received her education at Dogan elementary and high school in Fairfield. Mrs. Sevier married Henry Lee Day, Sr. and the couple had one child, who later died. Mr. Day preceded her in death, and she later married James C. Sevier, who also preceded her in death. She worked for and retired from the City of Gary, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son Henry Day, Jr., brothers Walter, Olden, Kenson, Henry, and Earnest Hatcher, and sisters Thelma, Mary, Katherine, and Minnie Hatcher. Survivors are three grandchildren, Henry Darren Day, Danielle Monique Day, Marlon Jarett Day, great-grandson Henry Lee Day III, and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Marlon Day, Jeremy Hatcher, Elder Nelson Allen, Kyle Ramsey, Elder Ray Dunn, and Brother Carl Spivey, Sr. Honorary pallbearers were Olden Hatcher, Jr., Arnold Day, Olden Hatcher, III, Wesley Hatcher, Jr., Kinson Hatcher and Kevin Hatcher. Arrangements were made by Emanuel Funeral Home.
