Watson is Edward Monroe Watson, Sr. (b. 15 Jan 1878) ] Contract entered into this Oct 3, 1921 between C H & E M Watson and Ott Springer, as follows. The said C H & E M Watson agree to rent Ott Springer the place known as the Teer place in Atoka Co. Okla. near Limestone Gap and lying west of Buck Creek for the third of grain crop and fourth of cotton raised on said farm for 1922 and further agree to pasture free 4 head cattle and 4 head horses + mules, and no more, for said Springer. And to pay Springer $25.00 per month for the following services. Springer agrees to keep all fences on land, to attend, feed and care for as required, not exceeding 85 head cattle for said Watsons, to keep said cattle in the proper pastures, to keep other stock out of said pastures, Also to ["keep" marked out] receive any stock shipped in by said Watsons and to ship out to market, when required to do so. To collect rents and account for same on other farm land of said Watsons to see that rent corn is properly gathered and stored in barn. In addition to above compensation said Watsons agree to pay Springer $5.00 additional for each dipping of said Watson's cattle required during 1922.
