Saturday, January 11, 1845 issue Page 8 SPRINGFIELD REVIVED NOTICE is hereby given to all persons owning and claiming lots in the town of Springfield on the Navosoto river, Robertson county, that they are required to return and settle "upon said lots on or before the 6th of May next or their rights will be forfeited according to the terms of the contract entered into between them and Moses Herin proprietor of said town: all dangers contemplated in the bond or contract of said Herin are believed to have ended with the final ratification of the treaty with the Indians in November last. Each man with a family settling in said town before the l5th day of February next and remaining one year therein will have all the privileges of the first settlers and will be entitled to four lots of a quarter of an acre each and a farm lot of ten acres. Single men will be entitled to one half the above quantity. The town of Springfield is pleasantly situated on the east bank of the Navosoto river well watered and the rich country around is fast settling with an enterprising and industrious population.
