Freestone County, Texas Young ladies of Teague about 1907 When Teague was starting about 1907, the young ladies of the town were photographed to advertise to entice people to come to Teague. The History of Freestone County, Volume I has two photographs of the ladies. The first on page 171 shows them in front of a tent with the caption of "Why you should come to Teague". The second on page 173 has the same group of young ladies sitting on top of the Teague's city water wagon with the caption of "We're on the water wagon".
