Rufus is a progressive and thoroughly reliable young man, and his popularity and business capacity is aasurance that he will be successful. At H. C. McMichael’s April 11, 12 and 13, A. K. Hawkes Co’s, expert optician will test eyes and fit glasses. He will give the same splendid up-to-date service and reasonable prices as obtained in their establishment, and have given this firm a national reputation. Much Building Boing On W. F. Jeanes has the contract to build the brick business house on Main street for J. W. Rhea and a force Tworkmen are now engaged on the job. Contractor Jeanes says it will be ready for occupancy within thirty days. J. L. Tait of Washidgton City is here and is figuring on having five brick buildings erected on Main street, covering the lots between the Teague Liquor Co. and the Bank Saloon. Mr. Tait will probably have the upper stories of these buildings made into an opera house. D. K. Compton will build a structure for a furniture factory. He has not decided on which of his several pieces of property it will be erected, but he says he has definitely decided to build the structure. A furniture factory, backed by local capital, will occupy it. On Main street three brick structures will be built between Procter’s and Tucker’s. Will Meier wilL have one erected, J. E. Monk another, and Dr. Cox another.
