Jim Alderman will make a crop here this year. Mrs. Jack Norris and baby have been right sick. Rufus Manning has built a new garden. J. C. McKinney is going to ride a new planter this year. Bum and Man Norris were in Mexia last Saturday. Mrs. Elma McKinney has been suffering with a bone fellon. G. D. and H. C. Horton made a business trip to Mexia Saturday. Charlie Bain has been very low, came near dying Friday night, but is better at this writing. O. Y. Manning came up one day last week and moved his last load. Jack Norris went to Fairfield Monday on business. Lester Bain, of Waco, visited his brother, Charlie, here Monday. Our school will start again today after having been suspended two weeks on account of mumps. People here are nearly up with their work. Corn planting time is nearly here again. Some are going to commence this week. J. D. Manning made a quick trip to Thelma, Saturday, on his motor cycle.
