Local News from Freestone *1* 

  Feb. 19 - Some farmers are planting corn, other are getting ready.
  We have had no blizzard or other bad weather, and today looks like spring.
  J. W. Nicholas is fencing in a large garden, which adds to the appearance of 
the place and later on will add to appearance of the table, if it is like our
gardens commonly are.
  Mrs. Rice was called to Corsicana, Wednesday night, because of the death of her
son. She has the sympathy of the entire community.
  Some cases of grip in the country, but nothing serious so far as we know.
