John White preached here Sunday [sic, Saturday] and Sunday night. He was accom[p]anied by his sister, Miss Gertrude, of Dew. Mrs. J. B. Thompson returned home Monday from an extended visit to Dallas and Arkansas. T. C. Perry, of Midlothian, came down Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Canon [sic, Cannon] went to Teague Saturday. Marvin Tate and family visisted relatives at Ward Prairie, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Manahan visited at Ben Willard's Saturday night and Sunday. Sam Manahan attended singing at Ward Prairie, Sunday afternoon. Several from here attended the funeral of Robert Teer, Monday. Miss Alva Nichols went to Teague, Monday.
