Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Jacobs and little daughter have returned from a visit in Pine Bluff, Ark. Miss May Ward has returned to her home in Mexia, after an extended visit with relatives here. Mrs. Grimes has returned to her home in Smithville, after a visit with her sister, Mrs. D. T. Garth, here. Complimenting her sister, Mrs. Page of Mansfield, Mrs. H. G. Alexander entertained a number of friends on Tuesday evening of last week with a 500 party. On Wednesday evening of last week Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Stough honored Mrs. Page of Mansfield with a 6 o'clock dinner. D. Anderson. J. A. Woods and daughter, Miss Addie, are visiting in Houston this week. Mrs. George Burgeron of Calvert and Misses Mattie Wasson and Lill Harper of Mexia visited Mrs. J. E. Woods here this week. Mrs. Will Greer was hostess last Wednesday afternoon to the N. T. S. Club. After serveral games of 500 it was found that Mesdames A. B. Farrington, J. W. Carnes and Charles Woods had scored highest. In the cut Mrs. Woods was the lucky contestant and was awarded the prize. The hostess, assisted by Mesdames Alexander and St. Clair, served brick ice cream and angel food cake to the following: Mesdames F. B. Stough, J. W. Carnes, S. D. Proctor, H. G. Alexander, Ernest Alexander, E. B. St. Clair, J. J. Thornton, J. E. Woods, W. P. Harrison, G. L. Tair, J. E. Sneed, A. B. Farrington, J. F. Wallace, Walter Kerr, V. J. Tuley and Charles Woods and Miss Robertson of Palestine."
