Freestone County, Texas Photos "Minnie Roesler and Her Friends At The Rail Yard In Teague, Texas." Minna Louise Clara Roesler would later marry on November 19, 1921 by a Justice of the Peace, Richmond, Harris Co., Texas to (Louis) Tony Cincera. Her father, Otto Christian Joachim Roesler (b 12 Dec 1877 in TX), was a machinist with the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railroad that had shops and a station at Teague, TX. Her mother was Emma Henke (b 18 Nov 1877 in Germany). The family would later move to Houston, TX where Otto was employed by the Houston Belt & Terminal Railway. I would date the postcards around 1915. Minnie was born January 8, 1899 at Gay Hill in Washington County, Texas. Dating: As to the date of photo - Teague did not exist prior to 1906. The group appears like high school but more likely college aged. There are telephone poles in the pictures. Teague had a telephone exchange that is known to have existed in 1914, but could be older. Teague was the site of the actual freight house for the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railroad and also had a brick passenger depot. A southern extension from Mexia to Houston was built from 1905-1907. The fellows are wearing thin ties. Overall the my guess is the photo postcards looks like about 1915.
