The young people enjoyed Miss Helen Saunders’ hospitality Thursday evening when she complimented Miss Adelaide Richardson’s friend, Miss Saddler, of Corsicana. The rooms being large and airy were unusually attractive with their decorations of flowers and ferns. The cloud - which appeared late in the afternoon produced no rain, but by its refreshing breeze put the participants in just the attitude for the evening’s pleasures. Two lively contests were enjoyed in one testing the knowledge of various flowers, the other of the vocabulary. As a result of the first. Miss Saddler won the prize, and Miss Richardson the consolation. In the second Miss Addie Woods was first, while Mr. John Riley received the consolation. At the conclusion of the contest several games of forty-two followed. Mr. Nelson proved himself a player of rare ability, thereby capturing the prize. A delicious ice course was served to Misses Saddler, Adelaide Richardson, Richie Boyd, Eloise Setzer, Barbara Peyton.
