This antique trade token is believed to be from about 1919 to the 1920s. This is from Wortham, Texas. Munroe Brothers was a drug store at the time. They dealt with trade tokens having denominations in one cent, two and half cent, five cents, and ten cents. The one cent and five cent looked created from copper, while the two and half cent and ten cent versions were silver colored. The different denominations averaged 20mm but varied as the one cent one was about 17.3 mm and the ten cent variety was 23.5 mm . ----------------------------------------- One Side: "Good for 5 cents in merchandise" Other Side: "Munroe Bro[ther]s.
