Woolridge was director of a program for the History Club Friday afternoon which was arranged in observance of Mozart's 200th anniversary. The meeting was held at the First Methodist Church. Mrs. Edward C. Parker, club president, welcomed guests and gave a brief, informative sketch on the life of Mozart, one of the world's greatest composers who died while a young man in the 18th century. His works are cherished and enjoyed by millions today. The serving table was covered with a maderia, cutwork and embroidered, white cloth with a center arrangement of pink galdioli. Frozen fruit cocktail squares floated in the delicious punch served by Mrs. F. H. Watson. ======================================= Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Thrusday, May 16, 1957 edition Radio Equipment Installed at Sheriff's Office Friday The new short wave radio equipment purchased by the Freestone County Commissioners was installed in Sheriff Henry Brown's office Friday. The base station is located in the sheriff's office with two-way units placed in the jail, the county automobile and Mr. Brown's personal car. Mr. Brown said the radio equipment has been needed in the county for a long time for better law enforcement and protection of citizens.
