  NEW FIRE TRUCK ARRIVES  - Under a cooperative agreement with the City of 
Fairfield, the Texas Forest Service has made available to the city the above
fire truck for the purpose of fighting grass and rural fires.  According to the
agreement, the city must furnish an enclosed or covered storage area for the 
truck and it must be maintained by the city. Also, the city paid for the 
refinements included with the truck such as tank, hoses, pump, etc. According to
Fire Chief T. R. Bonner, Jr., the truck provides a much needed piece of equipment
and at a more reasonable cost than a new one.  -- Staff Photo
