Evans of the County [inserted between the lines: Green L. Stillwell in trust hereinafter] & State aforesaid Witnesseth mentioned that the Said William W. Evans for and in Consideration of the Natural Love and Affection which he has and Bears towards Elizabeth C. Stillwell the Sister of the Said William W. Evans he hath this day Given Granted bargained and Sold to the Said Green L. Stillwell his heirs and assigns a Certain Negro Girl Slave named Philba about Ten or Twelve Years of age In ____ however and for the Sole Exclusive and Separate use of the Said Elizabeth C. Stillwell wife of the Said Green Stillwell & Sister as aforesaid of the Said William W. Evans to here & the legal heirs of her body to hers and their Sole Separate and Exclusive use free from liabilities of the said Green L. Stillwell In Witness whereof the Said William W. Evans hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal this day & year above written Interlin(?) before assigned William W. Evans [SEAL] Test G. A. Nolan J. H. Evans The State of Texas § be it Known that John Freestone County § H. Evans one of the Subscri =bing Witnesses to the foregoing & within Convayance & deed of Trust personally appeared before me Emanuel Clements Clerk of the County Court of Freestone County who being Duly Sworn on Oath Says that he Saw William W. Evans Sign Seal and Deliver the Said & Within Deed of Trust to Green L. Stillwell for all the purposes therein Expressed he also on Oath Says that he Saw the Other Subscribing Witness G. A.
