TX - Land Deed for Robinson Place (600 Acres) of James and Eliza Ann Robinson to daughter Sarah Hope Robinson Bonner [This transcription of the handwritten deed uses the spelling, capitalization, and grammar of the original.] The State of Texas County of Freestone Know all men by these presents that we James Robinson and Eliza A. Robinson, wife of said James for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which we have for our Daughter Sarah H. Bonner, wife of O. Y. Bonner, and for the further consideration of one dollar to us in hand paid by the Sarah H. Bonner and her husband O. Y. Bonner, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, have bargained, Sold, released and conveyed and do by these presents convey and set over unto the aforesaid Sarah Bonner[paper is torn] lying and being Situated in Freestone County in the State of Texas. Known and described as follows biz: Beginning at a well known Hickory Tree on the dividing line betwixt the Joseph Love and Joseph Roque Leagues of land which Hickory Tree is markd W and is known as the South East corner of Thomas H. Robinson's Survey of land. Thence run in a Western direction including the graveyard to a Post Oak near the large Gate which gate is on the main Road to the old plantation. Said Post Oak is markd XX and is the South West Corner of Thomas H. Robinson's Survey of land and is also the North West Corner of this Survey. Thence run in a South direction down the ravine which heads at the little Tank a little west of Said corner until it crosses the line dividing the land of William Bonner and James Robinson. Thence South 30 [degrees] East with Said line to Tehuacana Creek. Cornering with William Bonner near the old Bridge for the South West Corner. Thence down Tehuacana Creek with its meanderings to the place where the Joseph Love and Joseph Roque line crosses Said Creek that being the South East Corner. Thence run North 30 [degrees] West to the place of beginning. Supposed to contain about Six hundred acres of Land be the Same more or less. To have and to hold in feesimple forever the above described tract or parcel of land, and We the aforesaid James and Eliza A. Robinson hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, Administrators and Assigns to Warrant and will defend the Title to the above described land from all persons claiming or to claim any part thereof whatsoever. In testimony whereof We hereunto write our names and affix or Scrawl Seals this 22nd day of August A.D.1887. James Robinson Eliza A. Robinson, a Notary Public in and for said county, on this day personally appeared William Bonner, known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed as witness to the foregoing instrument of writing, and after being duly sworn by me, stated on oath that he saw James Robinson the grantor or the person who executed the foregoing instrument, subscribe the same, and that he had signed the same as a witness, at the request of the grantor. Robinson a Notary Public of Freestone County Tex, on this day personally appeared before me Mrs. E. A. Robinson known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the fogoing instrument of writing and after being examined by me separately and a part from her husband, and having the same fully explaining to her she, the said Mrs. E. A. Robinson acknowledge such instrument to be he act and deed, and declared that she had willingly signed the same for the purposed and consideration therein explained and that she did not wish to retract.
