Freestone County, Texas History Natural Gas and Oil Wells Natural Gas and Oil Wells of the Rischers Store Field The Malakoff News - Sep 15, 1983 Freestone County's Rischers Store Field will see some drilling action when Hinton Production Co. of Mount Pleasant starts making a hole for its No. 1 Florence Hanson. The well is a project 8,600 ft developmental try located 4.5 miles southwest of Streetman. The operation is in a 215-acre lease in the Willie Carter Survey. The target is natural gas production. ------------------------- D. Martin Oil Co. of Corsicana is preparing to spud an 1,100 ft. developmental well in the Reiter Field, two miles north of Wortham. It is designated as the No. 22 Mrs. R. V. Bounds, with drillsite in a 140-acre lease block in the William Ritchie Survey. ========================================= The Malakoff News - Sep 29, 1983 The Rischers Store Field saw a dual zone gas completion brought on line at a location 4.7 miles southeast of Streetman in Freestone County. Designated as the No. 1 Charles D. Nettle, the well flowed 1,698,000 CF gar per day on the 1.25 inch choke from the upper zone. The zone showed potential for 7,883,000 CFD on absolute open flow. A lower zone indicated prospects for 1,395,000 CF gas daily on a 1.25 inch chocke and was rated at 1,750,000 CFD on absolute open flow. Location is in a 99-acre lease in Freestone County's Willie Carter Survey. The well bottomed at 7,600 feet, with Ballard Exploration of Houston as the operator. The upper zone production interval will be a set of perforations in the Rodessa Formation, 6,528 to 6,540 feet. The lower zone will produce from Travis Peak perforations, 7,518 to 7,524 feet into the wellbore. ========================================= The Malakoff News - Jun 6, 1991 The Rischers Store Field saw a new producer come on line when the No. 1 Charles D. Nettle "A" was completed 4.7 miles southeast of Streetman in Freestone County. The well flowed 996,000 CF gas per day on a 20/64 choke with flow pressure standing at 752 PSI. No open flow rating was released. Production is from Travis Peak perforations at 7,087 to 7,172 feet into the hole. EP Operating is the operator.
