Estate Inventory Of Dr. Samuel Bonner Wilcox County, Alabama 18 April 1832 Dr. Samuel Bonner never lived in Freestone County, Texas, but two of his brothers, William Bonner and Dr. John Bonner, did. Also, his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Bonner married her first cousin, John Laird Bonner, and moved to Freestone County, Texas. It is likely that the slaves listed in this inventory of his estate had some connection to those owned by his brothers and daughter in Freestone County. Dr. Samuel’s will directed that Ada and her child Jerry be sold as “ungovernable,” but no Ada is listed in the inventory. Perhaps it should be Amy and the Jerry listed is her son.
