Freestone County, Texas Communities Old Ghost Towns - with former Post office: Black's Store Black's Store was probably a old general store run by a family whose surname was Black. The post office was probably inside the store rather than a seperate building as in modern times. Lucian B. Parrish was listed as the postmaster. Black's Store appears on maps from 1872 and 1873. The location is shows as at the western part of the fork of the Linn Creek, Cedar Creek, and Caroline Creek where they merge to eventually flow down into the Buffalo Creek. The fork is shown as before the fork of the Spring Branch into the waters. The closest landmark shown on a 1918 soil map seems to be the Rocky Mount school. Martintown is shown across the creek on the 1918 map.
