Cottonwood was about two miles west of Concord and about a mile east of Martintown. The land around Cottonwood is drained by Browns Creek. Go from Buffalo northward on 1848 (Lanely Road) and turn left on 402 off to the left is the remains of Little Star Church. Little Star was to the east is the Concord community. The lands around Little Star are drained by the Browns Creek on the east and Buffalo Creek on the west. Supposably Little Star was renamed Cottonwood, but from the data I have it seems the opposite.
