Freestone County, Texas Communities Old Ghost Towns - Never had a post office: Enon (see Tacker and Union Church) Enon was a small community northeast of Donie. The land around Enon is drained by the North Prong of the Spring Branch on the east and Sanders Creek on the west. Enon was about a quarter mile east of the Trinity and Brazos Valley railroad. Enon was about halfway between Donie and Luna. Enon was also between Freestone and Donie. Enon never had a post office having Luna as its post office when it was operational. Enon was still referenced by newspaper accounts in Oct. 1919, but these accounts were references in the community of Freestone column. *20* I do not see any in the 1920s.
