Freestone County Singing Con. *2* = The Fairfield Recorder - Thursday, June 4, 1942 Page: 8 Back in the early days, Albert Gault, was known to the friends of his youth by the name of "Feg". He had this name tacked on to him because he lived in the Faglee school community, sometimes called "Talleytown". The Faglee school was located two and half miles north of Fairfield near the Gaulty homeplace, now owned by M. W. Henderson. Albert says the editor and Tilden Childs of Fort Worth are the only two living of his old friends who have never forgetten his nickname and never forget to call him "Feg" when he meets them. *3* = The Fairfield Recorder - Friday, November 14, 1913 Page: 4 Miss Allyne Riley began teaching the school at Faglee Monday morning. If you should hear an old timer addressing him as "Feg" you may wonder where the nickname originated. It dates back to just after the period when his parents had to run him down to put shoes on him for the first time. He was living north of Fairfield in a community where the Talleys, the Kelleys, and the Gaults lived, and it was called Faglee. Albert came to town to clerk for Mr. Hall, and Tilden Childs, Jim Sneed and the editor named him "Feg". *9* = The Fairfield Recorder - Friday, March 27, 1914 Page: 1 Local News From Turlington Mr. and Mrs. Jim Anderson, of Faglee, visited here recently. *10* = The Fairfield Recorder - Friday, May 4, 1900 Page: 3 Young Locals Rev.
