Freestone County, Texas Communities Old Ghost Towns - Never had a post office: Friendship Friendship community was located east of the county line with Limestone county. The closest post office would have been Kirvin which was to the east. The community was south of Tehuacana Creek. Friendship is on Rocky Branch Creek four miles southeast of Wortham in northwestern Freestone County There were surprisingly a lot of churches in the area, especially given the small rural population. The Friendship Church was located near the Rocky Branch Church. The Lebanon Church was to the northeast about a mile away. Campbell's Branch Church was towards the southeast about a mile away. Friendship had a school, two cemeteries, and a number of scattered dwellings in the 1930s. During the early 1980s two churches, a cemetery, and a few dwellings were still in the area, but by 1989 only the Rocky Branch Church and two cemeteries remained there.
